Scott Pickering
For my own private use, I want to get a 16mm Bolex. It will get converted to Ultra 16. Anyway what is the differences between the Rex 5 and the SBM? The only thing I can see is the SBM has a bayonet mount, while the Rex 5 still uses the standard rotating C mount. Both cameras use the 400 foot magazine. Also what is a good zoom for use with Ultra 16? And how does Ultra 16 hold up to 4K scanning? ZHAOYANG CHANG
if you pre fer to have super 16; then go for SBM, it is easy to be converted to super 16 (cheapper than rex 5) but I am not sure about ultra 16. If you prefer prime lenses; then go for rex
Chris Millar
Yip, bayonet mounts make more sense to modify... Did mine myself (super 16)
