Tin Ojeda
Hi .. I have a Bolex EBM super 16 as well as an ARRI SR with a bunch of PL primes ... Been looking all over for a C mount to PL adapter to be available t use my ARRI primes on the bolex , not a lot out there but i had an idea C mount to Canon EF to PL adapter .. The lens will prob fit but will this even work ? Will it be in focus ? Thanks so much Tin Ojeda
Premium Member Aapo Lettinen Posted March 18, 2015 Premium Member Share Posted March 18, 2015 it should work if the PL lens's cylindrical part of the mount is not too long. not all lenses are compatible with PL lens to EF adaptors because they have too long mount. You can get PL lens to C-mount camera direct adaptor from Visual Products but it costs a bit more than the PL lens--->EF-->C-mount route
Premium Member Aapo Lettinen Posted March 18, 2015 Premium Member Share Posted March 18, 2015 you can measure the cylindrical (actual mount) part length of your lenses and then find info how long lenses the pl-ef adapter supports which you are planning to use
Jean-Louis Seguin
Why don't you just get a Arri-PL to Bolex bayonet mount adapter. It'll be much more solid. Les Bosher can make a custom one for you. You can also have your EBM permanently converted to PL mount.
