Mi Ki
What is the best position to start? I have only experience with DSLRs and I dont know anything about shooting with Alexa or RED and all these high-eng gear, so I am a bit afraid I would look like an idiot on the set. What is the best place to start for me? Edited March 27, 2015 by Mi Ki

What is the best place to start for me? Where are you located? There are plenty of workshops all over the world that deal with basic operation of those cameras. Premium Member Bill DiPietra Posted March 27, 2015 Premium Member Share Posted March 27, 2015 If you can't find a workshop, I would just try to get on some film shoots (student, indie or whatnot) that are using those cameras so that you could get some experience with them. If you have any friends who own one of them, even better.
Cole Patrick Ellett
I would also recommend looking into rental houses in your area. Internships at rental houses are great gateways to getting acquainted to gear and meeting camera crews. But I would say the best way to learn a camera is to be on set with it. Premium Member Satsuki Murashige Posted March 29, 2015 Premium Member Share Posted March 29, 2015 One of the best and oldest film schools for cinematography is near you in Lodz, Poland: http://www.filmschool.lodz.pl/en/.
