Liam B. Smith
Salutations, I'm very new to this whole Super 8 craze. I'm going to shoot some video with expired 8mm Kodachrome 40 and I need it both processed and digitized. There are tons of services online for this. Does anyone know what the most reliable and cheapest option is? I'm not looking for uber quality, just decency. Thanks, Liam
Anthony Schilling
You can't get Kodachrome developed anymore. Kodak still makes 4 film stocks. 3 are color negative and have to be scanned, the 4th is a B&W reversal that you can project or scan. http://motion.kodak.com/motion/Products/Production/Spotlight_on_Super_8/Super_8mm_Products/index.htm http://www.spectrafilmandvideo.com/
Liam B. Smith
Anthony, I'm aware that Kodachrome has been discontinued but there are places that will develop it in black and white.
Mark Dunn
It's hardly worth paying a premium on processing and taking a chance on getting nothing at all when you can buy fresh stock for about £15.
