John McNiel
I have a K-3 ordered. I read quite a few posts that suggest that the loop formers should be removed because they tend to scratch the film. Has anyone removed the formers and examined them to find out what is causing the scratches - ie burrs, rough surfaces, manufacturing defect, etc? Could be mis-handling during loading? When I get the camera, I'll leave the formers in until I find a reason to remove. Thanks for your time.
Mark Dunn
They're very easy to remove- if you wait for a scratched roll, that's £100 or so down the drain. Why take the chance? It takes 30 seconds to load by hand <iframe width="420" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/qBt43qlWJ4A" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Edited June 17, 2015 by Mark Dunn
