Red Epic EVF/LCD standby/recording indicator??

Apologises first up if this is an easy fix but I am reasonably new to the epic and today we encountered an issue where the LCD and EVF do not display any indication of whether the camera is rolling or not and so we had to rely on the LED indicators on the side....we've gone crazy looking through the menus, can anybody please direct me to where in the menu we can set up a display to indicate on the EVF and LCD when the camera is actually rolling so that we don't have to rely on the fan/LED lights??

Cheers!!

Brendan, does the Red LCD have the heads-up display visible? You should be seeing the roll and clip numbers, frame guide overlays, and a histogram at the bottom with various indicator lights. That is all enabled by default. If you are seeing all that but not seeing the little red dot or Roll/Clip# turn red when recording, then that is very odd. If you're not seeing any of that, but only seeing the video feed on the Red LCD, then the default overlays have been turned off in the menu and you need to turn them back on.

Usually, tapping once on the Touch LCD will bring up the menus if 'Auto Hide Menus' has been enabled. If there is a lock symbol in the top corner of the screen, then you need to hold your finger on the lock symbol for a few seconds to unlock the screen.

Next go to Menu > Settings > Display > Monitor Control. Select the 'Monitor' tab and select Brain LCD from the drop down scroll menu on the left. Go to the 'Overlay' tab and select 'Standard.' Back out of the menus and your LCD should now have all the info back on. Here's the relevant page from the Manual:
