Matthew Padraic Barr
I'm shooting a short film at the end of the month on theBlackmagic 4k system, and I'm not sure how the camera'stimecode works. I read about how, when recording audiowith the microphones within the camera, you can get atimecode from that data. But I'm not entirely sure how todo this in Adobe Premier CC. Does anyone have experience with this?Or can you explain to me how to use this audio timecode? We're recording location sound with a normal set-up. If it helps, here's the equipment the sound recordist is using: Sound Devices 664 Production Mixer with integrated Recorder Betso Sbox Time Code & World Clock Generator
Larry DeGala
You can use Adobe Premiere CC's merge function and choose the option for Time Code.https://youtu.be/iJGWnGFtOQA?t=42s You can also opt for "audio" and Premiere can quickly analyze the audio track of the camera and sync the audio sample of your double-system audio recorder.Hope this helps.
