Albion Hockney Posted September 29, 2015 Share Posted September 29, 2015 I am thinking about buying a Sony F3 for some personal work as they are so cheap right now. the Internal 8bit 4:2:0 has always been a turn off and SxS is expensive so I was thinking of getting a monitor recorder to at least get 10bit Pro Res from it. There are a few of these recorders out there - Atomos Blade, Ki Pro Mini, Odyssey 7 was wondering if there is any real difference in picture quality as the Atmos blade is $500.00 cheaper then anything else. Also the display is brighter, and full HD res. The screen on one I had on approval cracked just by rubbing some grime off, but I suspect that's a one-off.
