Premium Member Nima Khazaei Posted November 28, 2015 Premium Member Share Posted November 28, 2015 Hello everyone, I bought an Aaton XTR Prod several months ago, and the seller included not one, but two of these tools (see picture). I have no idea what they are for. The seller told me they were for exchanging the ground glass, but the diameter of the head is too large... Would any of you have a clue? Premium Member Tyler Purcell Posted November 28, 2015 Premium Member Share Posted November 28, 2015 They aren't rails that screw into the front of the camera?
Premium Member Nima Khazaei Posted November 28, 2015 Author Premium Member Share Posted November 28, 2015 No, they're much smaller than that. I'm starting to think they might be zoom levers from one of the seller's zoom lenses. Does that make sense? Here's a picture comparing one of them to one of the 15mm rods, and the actual viewfinder tool that stows away in the camera's handle.
Premium Member Satsuki Murashige Posted November 28, 2015 Premium Member Share Posted November 28, 2015 Those are zoom sticks for your lens. They screw into little threaded holes in your zoom lens and helps you do quick snap zooms.

Dirk DeJonghe
They are the zoom and focus bars for the Cooke family of zoom lenses, nothing to do with the camera.
Robin R Probyn
We had them on an Angenieux .. I believe most of the 16mm zooms had long and short zoom bars..
