Max Field
Was looking around old Pokemon promos and saw many shots like this How exactly is this wide angle dollhouse look achieved? I was going to say just a wide angle lens but everything looks so close together like a long zoom lens. Are they putting a fisheye at the end of a telephoto or something? As always, thanks for reading.
Premium Member Satsuki Murashige Posted February 4, 2016 Premium Member Share Posted February 4, 2016 Super wide lens, tiny set. Everything looks close together because it actually is close together.

Premium Member David Mullen ASC Posted February 6, 2016 Premium Member Share Posted February 6, 2016 Really wide, like around a 10mm or 12mm (if shooting in regular / Super-35). Maybe a 16mm.
Kenny N Suleimanagich
If it was shot on 16mm then it was probably the Optex 4mm or 6mm, super close up. That's also how you get that type of distortion.
