pamagar
Hi everyone! I´m editing some footage filmed on my canon 314 xl using kodak vision 500t... they are so stunning and great, but due to some problems of focus with my camera I have to crop some scenes... I´m having problems, specially with the night footage, because when I crop and maximize the footage the grain of the film is sooo big. I´m wondering if anyone has a tip to reduce this grain... I´m editing on adobe premiere CS6. Thanks a lot everyone! Pablo.
Premium Member Matthew W. Phillips Posted May 10, 2016 Premium Member Share Posted May 10, 2016 Cropping Super 8 is unlikely to end well. The frame is tiny as it is. Once you crop it, you are down to very little grain structure to attempt to minimize. Best guess would be a good noise reducer or grading it in such a way to where it is less prevalent. Geoff Howell
Neatvideo: https://www.neatvideo.com/index.html?gg5 works wonders on super8, much better than After Effects built in grain reduction
David Cunningham
Neat video is horrid for 500T though. The grain is way to chunky. Your footage would end up all blochy looking.
