Rate for Storyboards

I am working with a pretty established, well known illustrator whose clients are mostly magazines, The New Yorker, NY Times, etc. I want to provide a storyboard along with a TV series and screenplay we are pitching and need just a couple of frames to visualize some of the dream sequences. It's a prestigious project if it's picked up. He wants to know the "Terms." I assume that's money. What is the going rate for top illustrators for storyboards. I would really appreciate your responses.

I asked a producer I work with and she usually sets aside about a thousand for boards on a 30 second commercial. If you're talking about concept art, I'm guessing that can be much more elaborate than simple story boards and would likely cost more. Of course all of this is often negotiated according to the budget.
