Premium Member David Mullen ASC Posted July 10, 2016 Premium Member Share Posted July 10, 2016 Zooming in, I don't see any sharpening artifacts, in fact the focus seems slightly off or the lens is a little soft or maybe it's just the resolution limits of the file or camera. Premium Member David Mullen ASC Posted July 10, 2016 Premium Member Share Posted July 10, 2016 I cropped into the frame and then did a split screen with a lot of sharpening applied: You can see that the original has very minimal edge artifacts, if any (I actually think the original is maybe a little soft or maybe it's just the posted frame), it's mainly the hard raking light on his skin and the bright highlight in his eye that is making you think the original picture is too sharp. 2 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
