Marc Gallifa
Hey guys, The other day I was watching an interview to Dan Mindel and he was talking about a concept called "Antagonizing the lens". If I am not wrong he's talking about taking light off the front of the lens. This is a part of the interview I'm talking about: However, it's the first time hearing about this concept so if anybody can give me a more in-depth explanation would be very helpful. Cheers Marc
Premium Member Phil Rhodes Posted July 21, 2016 Premium Member Share Posted July 21, 2016 I have to say I feel like they're spending a long time and a lot of words explaining something that's actually quite straightforward.
Brian Drysdale
He's taking about the opposite, allow in shot lights to shine into the lens, so that the shot doesn't appear dead. Of course, much to do about the arts involves expanding the straightforward, it keeps many authors and academics in work.

Robin R Probyn
Shop talk.. Quantitive easing = printing money Antagonizing the lens = Purposely add flare The difference between highlight and flare = about $5,000 a day
