A short excerpt from the article:

"The set of lenses and cameras, if I remember correctly was the one used for Kubrick's 2001 Space Odyssey. The idea behind it was to have the audience feel like they were looking at a 1960s movie, not a 2000s movie that looked like the 60s."
Although Lowepost primarily is a site for colorist, cinematographers could learn a lot from reading the content.
