Premium Member George Ebersole Posted September 4, 2016 Premium Member Share Posted September 4, 2016 I used a Nikon D5500 last week and the week before last, and really liked it. I have three EOS lenses from my old Canon kit, and was wondering if the Nikon needs an EOS adapter. Believe it or not I cruised several sites last night trying to find out, but couldn't get an answer.

Premium Member Adrian Sierkowski Posted September 6, 2016 Premium Member Share Posted September 6, 2016 Not a dumb question at all. For anyone else who googles, as far as I know, you can go Nikon to Canon, but not Canon to Nikon (which is one reason why i love older Nikon lenses-- cheaper than EOS, more organic, and adapters are cheap)
Stuart Brereton
The older Canon FD glass is nice as well, but can't be used on EOS cameras without an optical adapter, whereas it works on Nikons just fine with a straightforward mount adapter. Wrong. Can't use FD on F mount.
