This is for a full set of 5 Carl Zeiss Super Speed (high speed) lenses. All had mechanical overhaul / rebuild (disassemble, clean, lubricate, adjust) by AbelCine in 2012. All show cosmetic paint wear and brassing to various degrees, which of course is typical on lenses of this age. Sold “as is” without warranty, but will provide one week inspection period to buyer so they can make sure they are satisfied with purchase. Priced at $19,750 for the set. Prefer selling at package, but feel free to make offer for individual lenses if interested. If you want more close-up pictures of each lens, just ask!

Following is specific condition information for each Superspeed lens. Please note that I am being rather picky, in the interest of full disclosure so the buyer has no surprises. These are generally in good usable condition, likely above average for lenses of this era. Please do not think these are beater lenses. They were overhauled not too long ago in 2012 and are well taken care of. I just want to be thorough so the buyer knows exactly what they’re getting:

18mm Distagon 1.2 (T1.3) – appears to be a MKIII version, the most valuable/desirable of the bunch. Imperial markings. Clean exterior glass. One internal splotch visible with flashlight, could be fungus related but not definitive. Overall interior shows good light transmission and no obvious optical issues when on camera. Aperture ring is smooth. Focus ring is smooth, but gets tighter in the 6’ to infinity range and could jump slightly.

25mm Distagon 1.2 (T1.4) – appears to be an original B-Speed version with PL mount adapter and focus gear added. 9 blade triangle aperture. Metric markings. The knob which changes from de-clicked to click stop aperture settings is missing, but can still be operated with paper clip. Small nick on center front glass and mild cleaning scratches. More noticeable interior haze than the others in the set. The overall look is a little lower contrast (slightly washed out) and possibly not as sharp as the rest in the set. It is perfectly usable, but I’d rate this the most likely candidate in the set that could use another servicing to be perfect. Smooth aperture and focus rings.

35mm Distagon 1.2 (T1.4) - appears to be an original B-Speed version with PL mount adapter and focus gear added. 9 blade triangle aperture. Metric markings. Focus ring slightly loose (front to back) but stable and maintains good smooth focus throughout when used. Slightly more difficult to insert into lens mount than others in set, but does not seem to pose any functional issue. Clean external and internal glass. Smooth aperture and focus rings.

50mm Planar 1.3 (T1.4) – appears to be Mark I version. Imperial markings. Focus ring slightly loose (front to back) but stable and maintains good smooth focus throughout when used. Knob which changes aperture from de-clicked to click stops is not functional (but it is stuck in de-clicked which is how virtually everyone would want to use it anyway). Clean external glass. Slight internal contamination, but nothing much worth noting. Smooth aperture and focus rings.

85mm Planar 1.4 (T1.4) - appears to be an original B-Speed version with PL mount adapter and focus gear added. 9 blade triangle aperture. Metric markings. More interior contamination / haze than some in this set as well as some spots and cleaning marks on front glass that are not removable, but does not appear to have affected the optics or light transmission in any noticeable way. Smooth aperture and focus rings.
