Premium Member Max Jacoby Posted June 28, 2005 Premium Member Share Posted June 28, 2005 Older lenses, like the Panavision C-Series do vignette a bit (depends of the width of the lens as well), but there is no vignetting anymore with modern lenses. Premium Member David Mullen ASC Posted June 30, 2005 Premium Member Share Posted June 30, 2005 If you're shooting Super-16 for a blow-up to 35mm, then some of these issues become more critical. I shot one feature in Super-16 for an optical blow-up to 35mm and found that the 16mm Zeiss Super-Speeds visibly dropped off in sharpness below an f/2.0, so I tried to shoot at an f/2.8 for most of the movie.
