Mark Dunn
The cost per one meter is 0.75 EUR. For 400ft of film that'd be about $95 USD. It's not prohibitively expensive -- if magstriping a final spliced, polyester workprint is possible, that is. And an extra 25c for the sound transfer if you only have a replay projector. Even if you were to trim the splicing tape away so the stripe could lay flat I think there would be still be bumps at the splices. I used to do it for Super-8. Premium Member Tyler Purcell Posted January 3, 2017 Premium Member Share Posted January 3, 2017 Post-striping was common on S8. Super 8 Sound, which eventually became Pro8mm, used to do this in Cambridge. Sure in the 90's, it was common place. I was told the glue was discontinued and it was not available anymore.
