Curt McAloney
Hi, I have several 35mm film frames from the original star trek television series. Some are in color and some are in B&W. First, are dailies and rushes the same thing? Second, what would be the purpose of creating a version in color and another in B&W? Thanks in advance. Bruce Greene
B&W was probably cheaper in those days and they used it for the editorial work print. As far as I know, dailies and rushes are the same.
Stuart Brereton
Rushes is a British term for dailies. It comes from the one light print being 'rushed' through overnight for delivery the next morning.
