Jib Operator needed

I am looking to hire a Jib and operator for one day during the second week of August (schedule still in the works) on Staten Island. Jib Length will need to be between 30' and 40' and have a remote head.

I don't know if your camera is light enough for a Jimmy Jib.

30' to 40'?? From the post? W/ a remote head?? I think that's called a Phoenix Crane. You could call the IATSE Local 52 office (212 399-0980) and ask them about local owner-operators.

A Jimmy Jib's longest length is 40 feet, so you should be OK there. Just be careful about what kind of camera you put on it at that length. I know of a couple instances of jibs snapping with big cameras on them, such as a BL4, 535, or GII.
