Max Field
Anyone else feel the skin tones hold surprisingly well at 4 stops over?
Alfonso Parra
You are right, with +4 Stops you have a really good skin tone and other colors either. You can see a slighty different on underexposed, with -3.5 stop, faces are a little bit green. In general colors remains constant in both overexposures and underexposures. Max Field
My takeaway with under exposure as far as the noise goes is -3 is usable for web but -4 just doesn't look appealing for any situation. The noise looks way too digital as opposed to what I've seen on an MX sensor.
Premium Member Mark Kenfield Posted May 13, 2017 Premium Member Share Posted May 13, 2017 Thanks as always for putting together another comprehensive series of tests Alfonso. Do you plan to release a document breaking down your findings on the C700 as you've done in the past with other cameras? (I've always found them extremely helpful). Premium Member George Ebersole Posted January 18, 2018 Premium Member Share Posted January 18, 2018 The colors look muted, but I'm guessing that's because of the overcast sky. I'm curious, is the image ever so slightly soft because of that as well, or is that also because of the clouds?
Samuel Berger
Interesting that it's the same sensor that they used for the C200.
