Optimal framerate for music video with international release (shot in europe)?

As the title says:

What is the optimal frame rate for a music video, shot in Europe, with an European band, in an 230V 50hz environment, but with a potential international release? 25? 24? 23,97? Which has the least problems when converting to different broadcast standards?

It will be easier to shoot 25fps if your shooting involves flicker light sources light street lights or TVs.

For European distribution on TV 25fps it is.

For cinema DCP you might need to covert (or slow down the playback) to 24fps.

For release online, frame rate won't matter.

In the US, I'm not sure there is any broadcast of music videos these days. If you must, you can slow the playback down to 24fps or 23.98fps.

There's no reason to shoot 23.98fps unless your post audio guys demand it. And I'm guessing the soundtrack is the music, so it won't matter anyway.

Hi Sjur

Shoot 25fps and do a frame rate conversion IF you need a 24 or 29.97 version. Even with pitch correction I wouldnt adjust the speed of a music track by 4% - it can change it quite dramatically. I would be surprised for most of the distribution requirements these days if you really need a 24/29.97 version.
