Max Field
You know how when you shine a light at a flatscreen TV that's turned off and you see those rainbow streaks going in 4 directions? Was just wondering what ways there are to trigger that rainbow spectrum projection onto a background for a killer high-saturation shot. Shining a 300w through a special piece of optics? Is there something in cinema specifically for this? Is there a common household trick I'm ignorant to? Thanks!
Premium Member Phil Rhodes Posted July 18, 2018 Premium Member Share Posted July 18, 2018 Diffraction grating. I'm not aware of them being used as filters for high power lighting, though. The type depicted below would not handle any useful amount of light. Simulate it with a video or slide projector? P
