Justin Oakley
Question for Glidecam users I would like to get a Glidecam stabilizer, but Im a little unsure which one. Im thinking about the hd4000. The current camera I have (with a cage) is about 3lbs and some change. I plan on getting the new BMPCC, which I think is about 1.9lbs (bare). Is this too light for something like the 4000? If I can manage to use my universal cage with the BMPCC do you think this would help add a little bit of heft to the setup?
Max Field
If it clocks to about 5 pounds that should be perfect, right? I read the maximum load is 10 pounds and you're usually supposed to make sure that's double the camera weight.
Justin Oakley
So maybe add stuff to the cage to bring the weight up a bit?
Max Field
So maybe add stuff to the cage to bring the weight up a bit? No, you don't want to press the maximum load.
Justin Oakley
Im not worried about maxing it out though. Im worried about it not being heavy enough. The camera is only a few pounds (with a cage).
