Kodak 7266: Yellow Filter or No Yellow Filter?

-- I'm about to start work on a short film filming on 7266, almost all exteriors, and almost all on a boat in the middle of a big lake. Does anyone recommend using a yellow filter, or just forget it?

Depends on what you want it to look like. Yellow-Orange-Red will lighten skin tones and darken blue skies and add contrast to the shadows, which have blue in them. Yellow is very subtle, Red is very dramatic. Green filters will lighten green plants and darken skin tones.

 

This really isn't an effect you can create in post if you are shooting on b&w film.

 

If you get some blue skies and puffy clouds, I'd be tempted to use at least an orange filter, then yellow for close-ups. Down angles looking at blue water might be better with yellow instead of orange, just depends.
