Kavish Agrawal
Hey guys, It'll be great if someone breakdown the lighting setup of this sequence from Bridge of Spies. What fixtures are used here, and what is the overall approach to the lighting? Thanks, Kavish
Premium Member Phil Rhodes Posted August 6, 2018 Premium Member Share Posted August 6, 2018 Didn't we have a discussion about this very scene once? The conclusion was that creating that quality of results across such a large area demands some very big lights and a lot of power, ancillary equipment, space, time and people. Stuart Brereton
Didn't we have a discussion about this very scene once? We did. Outside of the obvious large units outside of the windows and the practicals, I'd take a guess and say that Kaminski was using his usual "7 Minute Drill". This is a booklight type setup. It varies in size depending on the scene, but it seems to be his go-to lighting plan when working with Spielberg.
