Jayson Bosteder
Does an adapter like this work to power the XTR Prod? https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/242075-REG/IDX_C_EB_XLR_C_EBXLR_V_Mount_Plate_with.html?ap=y&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI--Wh3aqi3QIVBf5kCh1_PgMCEAQYAyABEgIZrPD_BwE&smp=y I'm looking for a back up source for remote locations and for gimbal work. Vince Sweeney
I used a Diehard brand 12v power unit for several days of a feature shoot, for an Aaton LTR. A simple addition of an XLR connector on the side of the body of it made for a really nice, rugged, long lasting and very cheap back-up source. Jayson Bosteder
Great! Thanks guys. I will give it a shot. Good tip on the DieHard battery! @Tyler, did you have a video tap running. I had heard that it could potentially have issues with a stronger power source.

I run 16v batteries on my XTR and yes, it does have some issues but they're so rare when they pop up and easy to resolve. The video tap never glitches tho... just the camera body. I've seen it take 2 tries to get it to power on before, where the 12v batteries it comes on right away perfect every time.
