Phillip Mosness
Is such a thing possible? I'm guessing no, but also hoping that it could be done. The ones I see seem to work with mirrorless cameras so the device must need to get closer to the focal plane than a PL could allow.
David Hessel
Probably possible with some medium/large format lenses. The focal distance of the lens has to be larger that the flange distance of the camera for a focal reduced to work which is why mirrorless cameras have them. They have a very short flange distance and can adapt to many more lenses.
Premium Member Dom Jaeger Posted March 4, 2019 Premium Member Share Posted March 4, 2019 Kipon make a range of larger format speed booster adapters, but even for something like Hasselblad V or Pentax 6x7 lenses with long flange depths the deepest mount they adapt to is Leica M, which is still about 24mm shorter than PL. Either it's not possible, or the market for PL is too small. I suspect there's not much point adapting those lenses to PL anyway, with so many native PL lenses out there.
