Bas Jan Ader Endimione
Hi guys, I really can't wait to see Villeneuve work about the Herbert's Dune chaotic stuff. The movie will be shot on anamorphics (maybe B series?), and some Panavision cameras, basing on the slate. Is anyone who knows which camera and lenses are they using? More details? Premium Member Dom Jaeger Posted March 26, 2019 Premium Member Share Posted March 26, 2019 UV could mean Panavision's new Ultra Vista large format anamorphic lenses, with a 1.65x squeeze. https://www.panavision.com/sasaki-cioni-and-panavision-large-format
Mark Dunn
Perhaps it no longer matters, but it's odd to see a slate with straight stripes, unless it's a dummy. That would be tough to sync up on a pic-sync.
Igor Trajkovski
In Villeneuve i trust. But, Timothée Chalamet as Paul? Isn't he too thin? Building up the physique in progress?:)

Never heard of him (but that means nothing) I read the name a few hours ago here... https://stories.phaseone.com/wonderfully-eccentric-world-of-pol-kurucz/ Now I read it from you. So I ordered one of his DVD's from the library. Also a DVD from this guy... Roy Andersson. Hopefully they are not too boring for my ADD. In any case, just a little gas $$ to pick em up, so not big loss. I can get a vast amount of free DVD's interlibrary loan.
Chris Burke
Check out Jordorowski's Dune. A great doc about what could have been. In it, he is rather critical of David Lynch's Dune, as am I. Perhaps this is the time for Dune.
