Scott Peters
Hey guys I'm shooting a short film this weekend, and one scene takes place on a fairground ride, one of those hi swing sets. I'm looking for some advice on how best to rig this. The Camera is a stripped down Amira. It doesn't have to be totally stabilized on the ride, so I was thinking we could just do something simple like add some additional straps for the camera and the operator with a Cinesaddle on the second seat strapped down. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
AJ Young
How did it turn out? Any photos of the final rig?
JD Hartman
OP hasn't reported back since the 10th of May?? Camera sitting on a soft mount on an amusement part ride, held only by straps? A bad trip for camera, camera op. and any and all patrons of the fairground. The idea screams out for a rigid speedrail rig.
Scott Peters
The director changed what ride we were shooting on last minute, so no pictures of solutions i’m afraid, I was able to operate it securely without any rigging.
