Music Video - Shot, Op'd, and pulled own focus

Recommended Posts

Hi there! This is my first music video as a working DP in LA and I'd love for your feedback. This was a 2 day micro--budget production shot on an Alexa Classic with Vintage Russian 'faux anamorphic' glass. I had to operate and pull my own focus which made some shots challenging at times.

Good Job. I'm still new to all this, I didn't see anything that stood out as terrible. It's a Music Video, shouldn't you be able to play around with camera, lighting setting/set ups? The point is to be creative, guide the viewer, you did that.

Where'd you shoot the exteriors? I'd love to do some stuff out on those dry lake beds.

El Mirage is favorite for LA based production. It’s about an hour and a half outside of LA, in Mojave.
