robbie Land
Can anyone recommend an oil for lubricating the Cameflex CM3? I know the manual suggest Esso oil 8119, which I'm unable to find. Will something like Liberty clock oil work? Thanks for any knowledge on this matter.
Premium Member Dom Jaeger Posted August 3, 2019 Premium Member Share Posted August 3, 2019 I’m sure a good quality clock oil would work fine. If you make friends with a rental house that rents film cameras their service department might let you have a little Arri Chronosynth oil or you may even be able to buy some from Arri but unless you’re planning to run tens of thousands of feet through the Cameflex I think any light, good quality synthetic machine oil would be ok.
