Timothy Roberts
Has anyone ever heard about an aerial lift or a mod to an aerial lift that can record a basket position and then automatically go back to it? For example, I go up the condor and get it into a good place and focus the lights. I either stay up there for 6 hours until lunch or I come down and try to get the bucket back to where it was, with mixed results. It would be cool to hit a button and have the bucket either remember the position and get there, or if it's a particularly hairy situation, maybe even record my performance and execute it. Obviously, its a terrible/illegal idea to modify a lift, this would have to be a manufacturer approved feature. And since it would have little use outside of MPTV use, the lift companies might not have an incentive to actually R&D this. Is there a real need for Condor memory or am I just sick of being the new guy stuck in a lift?
Ed Conley
How much does the bucket angle change when you lower the condor? Seems like a simple rope hanging down will get you back up to the height you were at. level on bucket rail for angle. Dunno, I don't work up in them.
