Roy Brown
I have a NPR with this zoom (In Very Good Condition) along with some primes. How does this zoom rate against other zooms. Should I try upgrading. Most of my experience with 16 is shooting with a bolex (Rex II with switar primes). Thanks Roy
Mitch Gross
An old zoom of middling quality, worth maybe a couple hundred dollars. For cheap optics, try to get an Ang. 9.5-57 ($750). After that you could try a Zeiss 10-100 T3 ($1000). From there you start getting into some real money, with lenses like the Zeiss 10-100 T2, Cooke 9-50 and Canon 7-56 (all around $3000). Sam Wells
I wouldn't pay money for a Zeiss 12.5 - 75. -Sam

Sam Wells
Well it could be the most flare-prone lens ever made. It is actually rather sharp - IF you don't flare it which (I know, I had one) is a total nuisance in reality - and once you flare it, there goes your sharpness. The 10-100 T3 aren't so bad.... -Sam
