Canon zoom 518/2 super 8 - can’t open battery chamber

Recommended Posts

I’ve just bought a canon zoom 518/2 super 8 today. I found an old manual online and used it to find out how to replace the batteries. In the manual it says you can use a screwdriver or coin to twist the bottom of the handle to open the lower battery chamber. Unfortunately on this camera, there isn’t a slit for me to use a tool or coin to do this. Does anyone know if it needs one?

David,

the older 518 models have their battery compartment under the top cover. You should find the opening screw near the eyepiece.

Cheers
