Premium Member Simon Wyss Posted November 30, 2019 Premium Member Share Posted November 30, 2019 (edited) I haven’t been able to convince the French Ciné Club 9,5 of converting any raw stock available. I had let them know that I should take 6,000 ft. of any black-and-white 9.5mm film, to no avail. They wait until Ektachrome can be bought as unperforated 35. The club owns an ancient machine from Kodak, Chalon, by which three strips of 9.5 can be procured out of unperforated 35. The machine is installed at Color-City, Epinay. The format is dead except someone achieves to move them senile club members. http://cine9.5mm.free.fr/wcc02300.htm http://colorcity.fr/pack-pellicule-et-developpement/22-663-pellicule-95mm-developpement.html#/147-reference_pellicule-fuji_velvia_30_m Edited November 30, 2019 by Simon Wyss
Carl Potter
I know of the machine at colour city in France, I was following a thread which was taking about the machines having to be removed in late 2018 possibly because of space issue there, but then getting a reprieve until Feb of this year. I can't find the thread again, should have favourited it. I remember the thread talked about the machines being the size of table tennis tables that seems big to me. I found a little family run German company that thinks they might be able to make it but wondered what the demand might, which I can't really say, have asked on the groups I'm involved with but not had much of a response. Details of email below from ADOX in Germany. Maybe your interest and the 6,000ft of film, might get them to look into the process in a bit more. Carl Dear Mr. Potter, Thank you for your email. I need to talk to our technical-team to see if we can produce this format, but it would be great if you would tell me more about this appetite; Could you give me a quantity of your need/interest? Thank you in advance. Premium Member Simon Wyss Posted December 1, 2019 Premium Member Share Posted December 1, 2019 My, most interesting. Adox CMS 20 in that format would be a dream. Will still take 6,000 ft. Just found some pictures of a GIC-ETM P. 9mm5, a very rare model. Have published an article on this camera in German and in French.
