Premium Member Stephen Perera Posted February 4, 2020 Premium Member Share Posted February 4, 2020 (edited) So last year thinking I was being clever and cleaning inside all the viewing parts cos the dirt on the viewfinder was annoying me, I blew in with a can and broke the wafer thin beam splitter apparently, or the 'pellicule' as they call it........yes I made sure I removed all 'chards' .......so Girvan Calder from AbelCine kindly contacted me they have the part and it costs 210 dollars discounted price......I shoot without a monitor with no issues so its a luxury really but I'm wondering if this is actually something than can be done easily and therefor get the part at some point....it doesn't sound like it can be done by anyone....so does this have to go to a tech? I dont want to send the camera out and waste shooting time etc in the middle of my current project....... Chapeau David Sekanina for all the help he is giving me via emails Edited February 4, 2020 by Stephen Perera
