15mm Studio bridge plate with pin and offset

Recommended Posts

I'm looking to assemble a rig for my Arriflex 16Sr2 around the 15mm Studio standard. The camera has one mounting point on the bottom and two holes meant for pins to go in, one in the front and one in the back. I would really like to take advantage of those, just for the added stability.

I was looking at the bridge plate by Shape, which has the 17,25mm offset but doesn't have a pin. Then I started looking at used ones, which for the most part have a pin and at least one screwing point with the appropriate spacing between them, but they all appear to be centered for some reason (even the ones by Arri or other well-known manufacturers).

Can anyone explain why that is and maybe recommend a bridge plate that has both a pin and the 17,25mm offset?

Thank you ?
