In a pinch I have used a camera photo backpack and a few lens wraps with my Canon Compact Cine Zooms, which are a similar size to your Zeiss LWZ. I wouldn’t want to do it again though, just too much risk of damage. What about a Pelican Air or Storm case? I have a two-hole custom foam Storm 2500 case (Peli 1510 equivalent) for my zooms that I always take if I need to pack light. As long as I hand carry it, it’s safe enough.
