John Salim
Does anyone have any recommendations for alternative ways of powering this camera ? A friend has just inherited one without the battery box. I assume it's nearly impossible to find a battery box nowadays. ? Cheers, John S
Harald Vonhoegen
To supply the camera with power the batteries can be placed into the Leicinia remote control unit "Leicina ST 1" (Steuergerät 1) instead of into the camera. Disadvantage: this device is not cheap - not at all. Advantage: the Leicina ST 1 offers various additional options such as remote control, time lapse, single-frame electronic flash synchronisation and lip-synchronized sound. Andries Molenaar
ST-1 is nice when filming from tripod and it gives some extra functions. THe standard battery box alos doubles as a forehead support. When filming handheld it is convenient to have an original batteryholder, with cushion pad ? John Salim
Hi Volker, Thank you very much for getting in touch and othering your spare ST-1. Happily we found the ST-1 and it just needs fixing up. The box has a crack in it and one of the battery terminals needs gluing down, but it does work ! It's the main battery box that would be useful to have ( as a head-rest ). Thanks again, and best wishes, John S ?
