Marco Schott
We are shooting some scenes where the light changes from cold white 6500°C to primary red with RGB panels as our main light source. I'm looking for some advice for exposing the primary red on film stock. Do you guys over/underexpose colors differently? Marco
Alberto Bañares
Hi Marco, I'm curious to know your results, as I was about to set a similar question, red color on S16mm 7219... in my case I was thinking which kind of source would capture more accurately the red color (in my case, red color with a mix of color temperatures in the background ), as I'm doubting on using a RGB Led panel (Skypanel / Kinoled, have both in the light package ) or use a tungsten source with a red gel on it ( which probably will be better, that's what I'm guessing). Have you already shot your project? All the best, A.
Jarin Blaschke
It sounds like a test is really necessary! I will venture to say that it will be more sensitive to red than a tungsten stock, as an educated guess, perhaps similar to 5219's sensitivity to red... Alberto Bañares
Hi Jarin, Are you replying to Marco's first question or mine? I actually don't fully understand your reply ? I really enjoyed watching The Lighthouse at 2019 Sitges Film Festival, ( I had a small movie there, too! ), congratulations for such a splendid work. A.
