Michael Jeffords
So I am still running my JVC GY-HD110U with the Fujinon Th16x5.5BRMU TV-Zoom Lens. I love both the function and imagery that the combination produces, unfortunately one of my cameras has an RGB calibration issue I cannot correct on the output. I am looking to upgrade and want to remain with this camera's newer model (JVC GY-HM850U). I want to use the current lens but I am uncertain as to whether or not it will fit or if there is an adapter that will make that connection. - The HD110U has a 1/3 bayonet mount - The HM850U has a B4 mount I am not certain if the 2 are compatible or what can be done to make them work. Does anyone have any advice on the matter?
Premium Member Dom Jaeger Posted February 14, 2021 Premium Member Share Posted February 14, 2021 I’m not really familiar with the ENG world, but according to the B&H site, the HM85OU has a 1/3” bayonet mount. I thought B4 mount is for 2/3” cameras? https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1027429-REG/jvc_gy_hm850u_camera_with_fujinon.html/overview
Premium Member Phil Rhodes Posted February 15, 2021 Premium Member Share Posted February 15, 2021 At least some sites list the HM850 as having a "1/3" bayonet mount". The small ENG-style mounts on the JVC stuff are uncommon, and (somehow) people confuse them with B4 mounts. Double check.
