elvworks
Just wanted to inform anyone living near the North Bergen area that there is a $2.00 multi-plex in the area. It's right next to route 495 and Kennedy Blvd and it's a nice clean theatre, stadium seating and everything. Not even sure how they stay in business. They play movies that been out a little while and all shows, all times are 2 bucks. And if you go in the daytime, you have the whole theatre to yourself. This is a good place to catch those movies on the big screen that you didn't feel like paying 9 bucks for before. Here is the yahoo link: http://movies.yahoo.com/showtimes/theater?id=2753 I hope this helps somebody. Rick

Premium Member John Pytlak RIP Posted November 29, 2005 Premium Member Share Posted November 29, 2005 Once feature films come off first-run, the print rental theatres pay to the distributor drop significantly, perhaps even to a "flat rate" rather than a percentage of the boxoffice. If a theatre can book a movie before it goes to video, they can often make a living on these "subrun" situations. That is why theatres fight to maintain a reasonable "window" between theatrical release and video release.
