Bob Hayes
Is there an easy way to dial in the skin detail adjustments on the Varicam. I understand the basics. Looking at the vector scope the skin tone area is defined by four coordinates. The saturation ?I? is the min and max from the center of the vector scope. The ?q? setting defines the left and right Hue of the selection. These four numbers create an area the skin tones are boxed in. On the Sony 900 I can select the skin and sample it to get the coordinates. On the VariCam I have to look at the Zebras and adjust the settings. Its really time consuming and a weakness of the camera.
