Telling compelling stories using the visual medium is not horribly difficult. However, with modern digital cinema, it’s becoming easier to tell them in a professional way, so the bar has been raised quite a bit in recent years. This is partially why I really enjoy the documentary genre, for me it’s a lot easier to tell a compelling story and make it visually interesting.
