Premium Member Chris Keth Posted November 22, 2005 Premium Member Share Posted November 22, 2005 I got a free No. 2A Folding Autographic Brownie today from my Grandfather: No. 2A Folding Autographic Brownie With some coaxing and some spacers at the end of the spools, it will take 120 size film even though it's made for the long discontinued 116 format. I measured the focal length of the lens (they don't tell you what it is, it's around 125mm and is a normal lens for the format) I figured out that the maximum aperture is about an f16 (they don't tell you iris stops, either :P) The shutter even works on all settings. I so fired up to take it for a spin with some 120! P.S.- I do realize this isn't cinema-related whatsoever but I'm excited, so :P :D
boy yniguez
congratulations! if you need to wedge some spacers at the ends of your spools that would mean that your camera's format is larger than 120, right? maybe 125mm is normal for the 116 size film but since you are now using 120 film normal is as follows: 6cm x 6cm image size on the film plane = 85mm 6cm x 7cm = 9omm 6cm x 9cm = 105mm
