andres victorero
Hi In the next march I´m going to work like a DP in a short film of a fiend mine. The cam is the FX 1 PAL. I shot a lot with DVX100 but HDV is new for me. The short film will be very contastly and there will be a lot of night shoots. the lights won´t be a problem. we have enought lighting material. Any suggestion? your advices are much apreciated. ;) Edited January 1, 2006 by andres victorero

Matt Sandstrom
the mpeg compression creates lots of blocky and smeary artifacts in the shadows, so i'd suggest lighting to a lower ratio and pushing the blacks down in post. /matt
