I'm talking about the effects that Tony Scott did on Man On Fire and Domino. He says it's mostly cross processed but the variable speed and "jitterness" came from a hand cranked camera. I'd love to see samples of forum members that have shot in a similar fashion. I'm sure Scott has bells and whistles that are out of reach for most indie film-makers. Joshua Reis Posted February 26, 2006 Share Posted February 26, 2006 Hi, I built a Hand Crank Arri M a few months back and have used it on a hanful of shoots with great results. The Arri M is great becuase its small, lightweight, its low cost, and is great for short ends with the 200 foot mags. Camera accepts 2R and 1 R film. I have attached a link to two quicktime clips and a photo of the camera. I'm shooting a scene thattakes place in a dark warehouse with some over head lights beaming down in the background behind the actors.
