Camera Stabilization for HVX 200

monster vs robot

Recommended Posts

Just wondered if anyone had suggestions for camera stabilization for the HVX 200? The HVX would be pushing it with the Merlin as it's max is 5 pounds. The Fig Rig is the only other one that might do the job that is in the under $1500/under price range. Anyone tried either with this camera? Any other suggestions?

thanks

Pierre

The steadicam flyer or any pro steadicam will fly it very nice with a pratice cage.

Enjoy-

Had a little play with the hvx at the BSC new equipment show the other day.

Looking forward to getting mine !

Fig Rig is not a stabilizer. I have used the sled(a baer bel type) holding it from the curved pipe

of the gimbal to fly a dvx 100 and was happy with

the results. I suppose it behaved much like a steadicam JR. My wrist got tired after a while.

but set up is immediate.
