monster vs robot
Just wondered if anyone had suggestions for camera stabilization for the HVX 200? The HVX would be pushing it with the Merlin as it's max is 5 pounds. The Fig Rig is the only other one that might do the job that is in the under $1500/under price range. Anyone tried either with this camera? Any other suggestions? thanks Pierre

Enjoy- Had a little play with the hvx at the BSC new equipment show the other day. Looking forward to getting mine ! Guest Alexandre Lucena
Pierre Fig Rig is not a stabilizer. I have used the sled(a baer bel type) holding it from the curved pipe of the gimbal to fly a dvx 100 and was happy with the results. I suppose it behaved much like a steadicam JR. My wrist got tired after a while. but set up is immediate. Alexandre
Häakon
I have used the Steadicam Flyer with the HVX200 and acheived fantastic results. It would be my sole recommendation if you can afford one.
Bob Hayes
The Glidecam is a great system and also a good way to get your Steadicam chops up to par.
